Hello Fav-
It’s Thursday and today I’m in NN201. It was another eviction. They left behind tons of crap. At least I don’t have to trash out units any more. Joseph hires out the ones full of junk like this one and charges the departed resident. Joseph brought in doughnuts today. Isn’t that nice? I was looking at Ft Campbell and Ft. Stewart on the web last night. FT Stewart is infantry. The 3rd brigade is being deployed in a couple of weeks. It looks like a nice place. They do get hurricanes there and have a hurricane watch on their website. Once you get to your duty station, you have another processing to go thru. Six to eight days. So be expecting that. You should expect getting issued needed items and medical and dental checks. FT Campbell is over 100,000 acres. There’s a bowling alley and other places to eat, PX, Post Office, Laundry. 2 dogs parks (J) a dog kennel so you can check in your dog if you have to be go somewhere for a couple of days. Cool! They actually seem pretty dog friendly. Once you get to a place where you can have a dog where you live. You should have Sadie shipped to you. Even if it is only for a few months her companionship would be worth the cost. You can also pre-arrange to get a P.O. Box for your mail so you don’t have to worry about missing letters from family and others while your in transit. Cool huh? When you receive your papers/jacket when you leave Ft Benning, you should verify that you have all needed copies of your ID and orders. And ask for clear instructions about where and how to check in. since you fl into Nashville airport, there is also transportation from that Airport to the base. There’s a privately run service and buses. If you get there too early to check in there is also a hotel at the base you can use. When you travel to base you need to keep all your travel receipts for travel related expenses. I think you will get reimburse for them. At least that’s what I gleaned from the website. I got your letter last night from Sunday. Just like I expected. I still feel pretty bad about not being there for you when you called. I plan on making sure I have that phone with me at all times this coming Sunday. I have the last three puppies leaving that day starting at ten am. So changes are that you will be calling me when I have someone over. J . Pony is scheduled for a follow up visit at the Vet’s tomorrow night with the couple who’s getting her. They want to make sure that she is going to be okay when they take her home. I don’t blame them. I’m glad that they care that much. If everything looks good with her. She will be going home with them from the Vet’s office. She is looking great to me. In fact all the puppies are doing great. I will be happy for them to move on to their new homes. I have good feelings about all of the families that they’ve been placed with. I’ll be glad to have the smell out of my bedroom. That’s fer sure! I never move these guys out of my room because of the whole parvo thing. I didn’t want to take a chance that some place in the house the virus still exists. Even though everything got sprayed with bleach. I’m thinking Sunday, if all the puppies get picked up early enough, I may have to go to the Dog Park to celebrate. The dogs all need the exercise, badly. Well we still have the boys with us. Mike had them all packed up and loaded up. Was at Ann’s new place and while Teddy Bear was there, somebody lit up or started to smoke pot. Right there with the kid in the room. Mike said no way was he going to leave them there in that place and brought them back home. I guess that Ann also gathered up whatever stuff she had there and went to stay at her mom’s There’s already too many people there. She probably has to sleep on the couch. I’m working with Bear to be a little dog training. J I got him telling the dogs to Shut up when they bark. Sometimes they make him jump when they bark. So if he can yell back at them when the bark. I’m thinking it will keep him from jumping or getting scared. I got pissed the other day cause Ann was over visiting the boys and she said when they barked “they won’t bite” I don’t want stuff like that said because it would then put out the thought that they could bite and hurt him in his head. I also have him yell “get back!” So they respect his space when he is standing by himself so they don’t knock him over. He also feeds them little crackers so he gets use to seeing and feeling their teeth. Fritz mouths him sometimes and even though he has a soft mouth, I don’t want Bear to freak out about it. Fritz also needs to keep his feet to himself. No punching the babies. Last night Bear opened up and let our Fritz and Hiedi from their crates so they were all in his face trying to lick him. Bear figured out that if he went in the crate and pulled the door shut, they couldn’t lick him. Haha. He’s smart. He spent a couple hours in my room with me last night playing with the dogs. I started working on getting him to say “go lay down” as another way to get them to back off. Okay so change of plans with Pony I guess that I’m going to take her by myself to the Vet today. So she can have her blood drawn and have her stool sample tested. So now I have to leave work early cause the appointment is at 4:30, go home feed Pony, wait for her to poo, package up the poo, give her a bath and then take her to the Vet for her tests. It got moved up a day so they have time to get the blood work done. I guess its like a 24 hour thing. At least she is willing to pay for this extra visit. So if the news is good then they will pick up Pony tomorrow evening. I just need to make sure that I have all the paper work from the vet visits ready to go so they can have that information for their own vet. Well I need to get this unit done and the next also before I can leave work. I’ll write more tomorrow. Love you so much. Miss you bunches.
