September 2nd 2009,
Good morning star shine, the earth says hello. J Today is Katie’s birthday, she’s’ 17. I got up nice and early today at 5:00am. It’s about 7:30am. I’m ready to go back to bed. I came in with Wes today so I can leave work early. I have an appointment with the vet for all the puppies. So I can say that they’ve been vet checked and give them a copy of papers from the vet along with a copy of the puppy’s health record. I’m not giving out the originals anymore. I’m starting to keep all records just like they do at a doctors office. So Fritz had his big date last night and tho he made several attempts they didn’t get stuck.. Lulu is sweet. She looks a lot like Gretchen in coloring but has better hair. She is also smaller, somewhere in between Gretchen and Emma. We are going back Thursday evening. They live east of Battle Ground up on the hill so they have a nice view. The husband, Matt, who we didn’t really talk to at Wilco, was in the Army also. He did boot camp at FT Benning then was later stationed in South Carolina. He was air borne like Ryan. He was only in for three years. He said that going in the Army was good for him. Because it helped him stay focused more afterwards when he went to college. I guess that he had gone to college for 2 years before the Army and that if helped him appreciate school more. Also the G.I. Bill and the fund that you contribute to out of your paycheck really helped. Now he works for HP from home. Has a big beautiful house, four kids that he gets to spend lots of time with, and a refrigerator just like mine. J I was talking to them in the kitchen and I was like- that’s the same frig that I have, I got it about four years ago. Them too. I asked them if the ice maker isn’t working either. Sure enough theirs isn’t working either and one morning they woke up to a flooded kitchen and water dripping from the ceiling down stairs, all because something had happened to the filter. I said great, now I have something to look forward too. J this morning I saw kids getting on the bus for school. Isn’t that weird? I can only think of one other time were school started before labor day. 5 more days and we cover the pools. Summer’s ending. This morning I was cold and the kia’s windows had to be wiped off. I’m going to have to find my jacket. I have no clue as to where it’s where abouts are. I know its not in my bedroom. Who the knows? I’m gonna have mike help me start cleaning out the birds room so I can expand into it. I’m going to have all the sewing machines lined up in the living room. Cage the birds. They are now going to be in the upstairs hallway were my sewing machine is now. The rest of the furniture in the room is junk. Toss the sewing stuff into the little closet. Then pull up the carpet, cut out the opening in the wall. Paint the floor and walls. I’ll just need to trim the opening with door casing. The whole thing will be pretty easy. It will be nice to have the extra room for all the crates. I’m gonna get Dutch the big 48” crate from Wilco. They don’t carry that size at walmart. So I’ll be spending at least 20 dollars more than if I could have gotten it at walmart. But its worth price so he can be comfortable. He must weigh over 65 pounds now. With my room like it is now, there’s just no way I could get that crate in there. I mailed, well I had Wes do it, you a package with paper, envelopes, 28 more stamps and an United Dominion pen that I took from the back office when the property go sold. I didn’t put a letter in it just in case you have problems getting it. I hope you receive it okay. When do you think you’ll be able to go to the PX again? Grandma shared the letter that you wrote her. She was really impressed by your nice writing. Thanks for thinking about the need to write it big enough so she could read it. It made her very happy to hear from you. Nollie texted me the other day to see if I had received anything from you. I guess that she has been expecting a letter from you. She’s a hoot. I gotta get to working. I love you and hope there’s a letter in my box from you today. That would be lovely.
Love Mom.
